About the Artist
Robert G. Beaulieu, a Scituate, Massachusetts resident, graduated from the Paier School of Art in Hamden, CT where he majored in fi ne art and illustration. Here he studied under the guidance of such artist as Ken Davies, Paul Lipp, Leonard Fisher and famed World War II “Monument-Saver” Deane Keller.
After his service commitment he expanded his fine arts training with enrollment at the Museum of Fine Arts school, studying under such artist as Gerry Bergstein, William Flynn and Domingo Berradas.
His career included art director for a number of Ad Agencies in the Boston area, He opened his own design studio in South Boston in 1988 and built his own studio in Scituate in 2008 where he still continues to assist a number of clients with their design/production needs. More importantly, it has assist a number of clients with their design/production needs. More importantly, it has allowed him much more time to dedicate to his personal art work.
Robert, also has taught oil painting classes with the Scituate Arts Association and host a monthly Workshop for fi gure/portrait painting with the Scituate group. Robert was also President of the Scituate Arts Association from 2005 through 2007.
As a member of the South Shore Art Center (Cohasset) Robert teaches classes in Still life and Plein Aire every semester. Robert also hosts many live painting demonstrations of his workthrough out the South Shore, as well has judges a number of art shows.
Working preliminarily on the South Shore, Robert focuses on many of the marshes and harbor scenes local of the area as well as one of his favorite spots, Wompatuck State Park. Don’t be surprised to see him painting either with his class or on his own in your neighborhood. Cityscapes are also a forte with many urban landscapes and “storefront” oil paintings filling out his portfolio.
Robert has participated in a number of jury, and non-juried shows throughout New England and the South Shore, and has an extensive colection of ribbons showing his success with such. His work can viewed in further detail at www.beaulieudesign.com/art
