About the Women in this Exhibition
We are 10 very serious, local women, Who Just Want to Paint and have fun! All of us met at the North River Arts Society in Marshfield, MA. We created a blog in 2009 where we challenge ourselves with an object or idea that we each incorporate into our own individual paintings. Most of us paint with oil, but a few use acrylics. All of our individual paintings are posted on our blog entitled “Girls Just Wanna Paint” the first day of each month and we invite our followers on the blog to comment. The theme for our monthly challenge is chosen by a different member every month. Getting together the first week of each month is so very enjoyable for all of us, for over dinner we can leisurely view each other’s work.
