David R. Wagner's exhibition was shown at the Gallery in July and August of 2011.
A lifelong resident of Connecticut, Mr. Wagner attended Black Hills Teachers College and University of Connecticut, and received a degree in History from Eastern Connecticut State College. A self-taught and versatile artist, Mr. Wagner's media include acrylic on canvas paintings and pen & ink illustrations. His subjects include portraits, still lifes, landscapes, Native American scenes, and representations of historical events, most notably his newest paintings, which were shown at this exhibit for the very first time. The new works were commissioned by Frank T. Bumpus in the Dr. Frank T. Bumpus Collection.
