Karen’s love for photography began in middle school when she and her father went out on photo adventures around Los Angeles. Finding shadows and highlights became a reoccurring theme during high school, college, and to this day as a professional photographer. Karen is first and foremost a photojournalist and storyteller. Shortly after moving to Duxbury in 1999, she began shooting for the Duxbury Clipper where she is still a freelancer.
Karen has won numerous New England Newspaper and Press (NENPA) photography awards. Karen also does commercial photography as well as children’s portraiture. Karen is excited to join the Helen Bumpus Gallery Board and dive deeper into the Fine Arts world.
